The Photron FASTCAM Mini UX50 high speed camera provides real high speed performance and power from a small package, delivering 1,280 by 1,024 pixel resolution to 2,000 frames per second (fps) and reduced resolution operation all the way to 160,000 fps, with 720p resolution to 3,200 fps. This makes the UX50 a small and lightweight camera ideally suited for applications as varied as fluid mechanics, life sciences or ballistic testing.
A global electronic shutter, operating as fast as four microseconds, provides blur free imagery from the 12-bit pixel depth (36-bits for the color version), digital CMOS sensor. The 10μm square pixels provide light sensitivity of 6,400 ISO monochrome, and 5,000 for the 36-bit color version.
The Mini UX50 is supplied with both Nikon F-mount (G-type lens compatible) and C-mount lens mounts, with readily available one inch format C-mount lenses providing complete sensor coverage at full resolution.
